Internationalization Project

The internationalization project supported by the POR-FESR Emilia-Romagna 2021-2027 enabled Parmafluid to approach the Chinese and South Korean markets in a structured way, focusing on digital tools, specialized consultancy, and trade fair participation.


Actions carried out


The activity was developed under the coordination of a Temporary Export Manager, starting from a strategic assessment of the target markets. Online tools were analyzed to facilitate relations with local dealers, and digital packages were created to allow autonomous and traceable management of commercial information.

 

The main actions included:

 

1- Direct commercial promotion in the target markets, materialized with participation in the Bauma China 2024 fair and specific business missions in South Korea.

2- Training of internal staff, both on the commercial side and in the use of digital tools dedicated to corporate presentation.

3- Digital marketing, with the creation of a new corporate image, the activation of profiles on international marketplaces, and the production of visual and textual content translated into Chinese.

4- Online business consultancy to develop the corporate e-shop with advanced functions (automatic discounts, shipping calculation, reporting).

5- Dedicated promotional material, including a company video subtitled in Chinese, a flyer, and an updated company profile, along with specialized translations.

6- Trade fair participation at the Italian collective stand at Bauma China 2024, without shipping physical materials but with digital presentation tools (video, tablet, demo e-shop).

 

Results

 

Regarding China, despite the decline recorded in 2023, the initiatives introduced reversed the trend already in 2024.
Most orders arrived in the second half of the year, mainly between November and December.

 

The Korean market proved more complex than expected. After meetings in Seoul and Incheon and further online meetings, the first results came only in 2025.
Progress, though slower than in China, was also made possible thanks to the authorized exporter qualification obtained in 2023.

Penetrating the Korean market turned out to be more difficult than the Chinese one.

Conclusions


The project fully achieved its objectives of strengthening Parmafluid’s international presence, enhancing the corporate image, and equipping the company with advanced digital tools. The Bauma China 2024 fair represented a turning point, fostering significant order growth and opening new perspectives in Asian markets.
